    Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Americold owns and operates 165+ temperature-controlled warehouses in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, China, Argentina, and Canada.     Primary Responsibility:

    The purpose of this position is to lead all company Continuous Improvement efforts to include Lean Based Continuous Improvement and AOS administration and be the senior leader and advocate for these functions, globally.


    Essential Functions:

    • Centrally directs all Corporate, Field, and Global Continuous Improvement Initiatives to include leading:
      • 4 Regional CI Managers
      • Corporate CI Manager
      • ANZ CI Manager
    • Directs the Corporate Americold Operating System to include:
      • Setting AOS strategic vision
      • Developing and implementing the AOS in every business unit
      • Leads all 3 Operating System Executive Steering Committees
      • Maintenance of the AOS Sub elements
      • Act as Corporate AOS Champion to include communication strategies
    • Leads the standardization of all business work processes.

    Education, Training & Professional Experience:

    • 15+ years of progressive experience with a top-tier fortune 1000 Company
    • Bachelors of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering (Graduate degree preferred) or other equivalent discipline
    • Experience in leading a large multi-functional Lean-base staff
    • Experience working through and with executive steering committees
    • Nurturing executive relationships and steering strategies and initiatives
    • Experience will implementing fortune 50 Operating systems 
    • Proven track record in Labor Improvement Strategy deployment

    Knowledge & Employment Standards:

    • Excellent time management, communications, decision-making, organization, human relations, presentation, negotiation, and mediation skills
    • Ability to communicate professionally, both written and verbal with individuals at all levels of the organization and with external contacts
    • Ability to communicate effectively to direct and motivate the team and others, maintaining a persuasive and credible presentation style at all levels of the organization
    • Proficient computer skills including experience in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Proven knowledge of state/federal standards and regulations
    • Proficient knowledge of maintenance training management
    • Progressive, flexible and team-oriented approach desired
    • Possess a proactive approach with strong customer service orientation
    • Demonstrates uncompromising level of integrity and code of ethics and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
    • Must be able to travel at least 50% of the time
