    The Communications and Public Relations Manager is responsible for driving the strategic direction and planning for all communications and public relations initiatives. This role will oversee communications, public relations, and community relations and ensure they are consistent and reflective of the organization’s strategic vision internally and externally.


    Essential Functions:

    • Lead, design, and execute time-lines, prioritization, content, and strategy for all internal and external communications
    • Advocate on behalf of the company brand with all internal and external stakeholders and the media across all communications channels and vehicles
    • Leverage communications, community engagement and public relations tools to significantly impact the internal and external Americold brand
    • Refine core messaging to ensure organizational consistency in all aspects of communication
    • Work with media outlets to publish timely company information, such as press releases, brochures, and other materials.
    • Publish videos and photography on company website and blogs
    • Implement social media strategies and grow online supporter base and traffic
    • Manage Americold’s community relations initiatives
    • Partner with leadership during crisis management events and lead communications work streams
    • Assist with the change management of company-wide recruitment, engagement, and retention initiatives that support the company’s strategic direction and business objectives
    • Collaborate with marketing to develop the advertising, marketing and promotion plans
    • Plan and lead internal company sponsored events
    • Partner with the Human Resources team on company projects and initiatives
    • Other projects as assigned


    Qualifications/Additional Skills:

    • 5-7 years of experience in the design, development and execution of communications programs, as well as design, development and execution of organizational development initiatives.
    • Evidence of executive-level speech-writing or content development an advantage
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Communications required.
    • Strong computer skills. Proficient with MS Outlook, Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel required.
    • Experience with Hubspot or other marketing communications tools a plus

    • Excellent problem solving, analysis and decision-making skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task required.
    • Strong ability to operate within a complex organization with multiple stakeholders.
    • Strong ability to form and foster business relationships.
    • Demonstrates uncompromising level of integrity and code of ethics and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
    • Logistics or supply chain experience a plus
    • Requires travel for business occasionally, up to 10% of the time.
